NAB RUNWEST 2020.
NAB RunWest 2020 has been postponed due to the developing COVID-19 situation in Australia. The Australian Government has recommended that as of Monday, 16th March 2020 that any non-essential mass gatherings do not take place within Australia. This announcement was supported by the NSW Government. NAB RunWest is following the Federal Governments’ advice and postponing the event until later in 2020.
Since the inaugural NAB RunWest in 2019, the team has been working hard in the background to produce an even greater participant experience in 2020. We are so disappointed that our event will not be going ahead as planned on March 29th; however, NAB RunWest is committed to the delivery of this great community event within 2020.
Since the Federal Government’s Announcement, we have been in immediate contact with all relevant government agencies and our partners to find an appropriate date later in 2020. As soon as NAB RunWest can confirm a new date, we will directly communicate to all existing participants.
You don’t need to do a thing! All entries for the March 29 event will be rolled over into our new event date later this year. If you are unable to make the new event date, once announced, please contact our customer service team on firstname.lastname@example.org and we will work to find a solution for each situation.

Once entry is reopened, you sure can! If the new date does not work for you but you want to give your entry to a friend, this is not a problem! Once the new date is announced, instructions on how to transfer an existing entry to a friend will be provided.
Merchandise pre-purchased for NAB RunWest 2020 will be available for collection at packet pick up and at the customer service desk on the new event date. Once the new date has been announced and you would like to receive your pre-purchased merchandise before the event, please contact the customer service team on email@example.com for all available options.
If you have already received your Bib and timing chip for RunWest, store that package in a very safe place. Once the new date has been confirmed, you will be contacted by the event with more instructions on what to do with your bib.
Whilst we work on finalising a new date, NAB RunWest has turned off the ability to enter.
Once the new date is announced, registrations will be reopened. Remember, if you have already registered for the March 29 event, your entry will be automatically rolled over to the new date.
If you are an existing registered participant of NAB RunWest and intended to pick up your race bib at West HQ on Saturday, March 28, 2020, you DO NOT have to collect your race bib anymore on this day. As the event has been postponed, so has bib collection on March 28. Once a new date for NAB RunWest 2020 has been announced, we will confirm the new date for bib collection.
2020 NAB RunWest registrations open on November 21, 2019. Please note that availability in some events is limited so don’t delay your entry.
As well as entry to either the 12Km race or the 4Km Family Fun Run, your registration gets you access to all the on-course entertainment on offer during race day and an awesome NAB RunWest finisher medal. The Finish Festival will be hosted at West HQ and free transport is provided to selected parking and transport hubs.
Anyone and Everyone! Designed to be an all inclusive event, NAB RunWest is suitable for everyone from competitive runners to families with prams. Jog at your own pace, it’s not always about the time; it can be about how much fun you’re having. Whether it’s the 12Km or 4Km event, walkers are welcome too.
Yes, any number of registrations can be processed in one transaction.
If you create a team or family of five (5) or more entries in one transaction, a discount of $5 per person will be applied.
Registration is available on event morning at the start line of each event (subject to availability). We highly recommend you arrive at least 60 minutes prior to the race start time to allow time to register on the morning as queues can be long.
Race Packet Pick up will be at West HQ on Saturday, 28 March 2020 from 10am until 6pm.
Exact location within West HQ is TBC. Time subject to change.
To collect your race number, please bring a copy of your confirmation email received upon registration. If you have lost your confirmation email, please email NAB RunWest.
Each registration will be allocated an individual race number.
If you are unable to attend, you may have someone pick up your race number on your behalf. Please ensure the nominated person has your registration confirmation email with race number and a text/email/letter from you stating that they can pick it up on your behalf.
You are not required to print your confirmation email with race number but you would need to have a copy on your phone available.
Both the 12Km and 4Km Family Fun Run are open to all ages. However all entrants under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a registered parent or guardian for the entire duration of the event and the accompanying adult takes full responsibility for the safety of the entrant under 12.
We recommend entrants collect their own race number.
If you are unable to attend, you may have someone pick up your race pack for you. Please ensure the nominated person has your bib number.
If you entered by 29 February 2020, you would have had the option to have your race number mailed to you at a cost of $7.95.
Participants can expect their bibs to arrive week commencing 16th March. Please do not contact the team until after the 23 March to report missing race numbers.
It is the responsibility of the participant to ensure their address is entered correctly during the registration process. The NAB RunWest team will not be responsible for any missing race numbers and no refund will be provided.
Both the 12Km and 4Km Family Fun Run are wheelchair accessible. All participants in wheelchairs (except racing chairs) must be in the final start group.
Those in Racing Chairs will start from of A Group.
You can update your registration details at any time by navigating to the entry page using the link in your confirmation email and logging in with your original login details. At this point, you can change your personal details.
Your registration confirmation email will be important when you collect your race number. If you have lost it or never received it, please email NAB RunWest and we will organise for another email to be sent.
Yes, entries can be transferred from one entrant to another. An admin fee of $5 will be applicable. Transfers are only valid for the same event in the same year.
Please note that online transfers will close on 29 February 2020. After this time, transfers are only accepted at Race Packet Pick up.
Yes, you can change your race. An administration and processing fee of $5.33 will be applicable. When downgrading your race distance, refunds will not be given. When upgrading your race distance, you will be required to pay the difference in entry fees. Please note that online transfers will close on 29 February 2020. After this time, transfers will only be accepted at Race Packet Pick up.

Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted on course. Assistance dogs only are permitted on the 4km course but NOT on the 12km course due to Sydney Zoo protocol.
If you are running to provide support to someone who needs assistance (such as a guide), please email NAB RunWest who will provide entry instructions.
We strongly discourage the use of headphones on course. If you do choose to use headphones whilst running, please ensure that you are still able to hear what is happening around you.
Prams are permitted in both the 12km and 4km events and must start in the last wave. Children in prams must be registered in the event.
The use of any type of drone or unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is strictly prohibited at NAB RunWest. Any person using a drone or UAV may be disqualified from the event.
No personal support riders or bike riders within the vicinity of runners are permitted on course. It is the responsibility of each athlete while running to ensure that no bikes are on the course near the runners. Any transgression will result in disqualification from the event.
Race Packet Pick up is at West HQ on Saturday, 28 March, 2020 between 8am and 6pm.

NAB RunWest’s Official Event Photographers, Marathon-Photos.com, will be on-course throughout event day to capture all the fun, excitement and smiling faces of NAB RunWest. You’ll be able to purchase your official NAB RunWest photos at www.marathon-photos.com.
To ensure your event day experience is as smooth as possible, we strongly encourage all participants to utilise public transport, however, public transport, such as bus and rail, is not included in your registration.
NAB RunWest will be operating free shuttle buses from West HQ to the Rooty Hill (4km Start) and Sydney Motorsport Park (12km Start) after the completion of you race. This means you can drive to start of the event, run your race, enjoy all that the event has to offer at the Finish Line Festival, West HQ and then be transported back to your car at Sydney Motorsport Park or The Rooty Hill.
|Yes, Gear Drop will be available for 12km Only.
Participants are strongly encouraged to consider what they leave at gear drop, and only leave items that are essential. NAB RunWest takes no responsibility for lost property so valuable items should not be left.
12km participants can drop items off at the race start area, Sydney Motorsport Park on race morning (Sunday 29 March). Note that gear drop will close at 7:00am. After this time, participants must carry their items with them on the course.
Groups and organisations are not allowed to create or form a dedicated space within the event village for their group to congregate unless approved by NAB RunWest prior to the event. If a group is seen within the event site without an official event permit they will be asked by event organisers and security to leave the event site. If you would like to enquire about an allocated space within the event village for event day please email NAB RunWest.
Under no circumstance can you distribute any samples, flyers, promotional material, or anything similar within the event village. If seen doing so you will be asked to leave the event site by event organisers and security.
|Your time will be recorded by a timing transponder pre-attached to the rear of your race number. Please ensure you firmly attach your race number to your chest and wear it for the entirety of the event.
Once you receive your race number, please ensure you do not bend or expose it to excessive heat. If you think your transponder may be damaged, please present it at the Race Packet Pick up for exchange.
Your personal transponder will be activated once you cross the start line, and your finishing time will be recorded as you cross the finish line.
Results will be available via the NAB RunWest website on event day.
All finishers in the 12km Fun Run and the 4km Family Fun Run receive an awesome NAB RunWest finishers medal at the West HQ Finish Line Festival.

While the courses travel mostly off-road using shared and private pathways sections of roads along the course will be closed for the safety of participants.
Roads around the start site at Sydney Motorsport Park will be closed between 6 am and 9 am.
Roads near the Blacktown International Sports Park start site will be closed between 6:35 am and 11.30am including sections of Eastern Rd, Rooty Hill Rd and Beames Ave.
Roads near West HQ and Rooty Hill will be closed between 3:00 am and 1:00 pm.
Limited vehicle access will be managed under traffic control to maintain resident access when possible at key locations.

Sure! We have partnered with an expert research team called SPRINTER – which is a research partnership between The University of Sydney and NSW Government Office of Sport. SPRINTER is helping us investigate how participation in NAB RunWest influences your physical activity participation and your health and wellbeing over time. This will build new understanding about mass participation events and how they may improve health in local Sydney communities. You will be asked if you are interested in participating in the research when you register in NAB RunWest.

All applicants for participation in the Event – and where the applicant is under 18 years of age, that applicant’s parent or legal guardian – must read, acknowledge and agree to the terms set out below, including the warning, exclusion of liability, release & indemnity. Where an applicant is under 18 years of age, the applicant’s parent or legal guardian that accepts this declaration in their personal capacity on behalf of the applicant and is expressly agreeing to be responsible for the applicant’s behaviour at the Event.
Claim means and includes any action, suit, proceeding, claim, demand, damage, penalty, cost or expense however arising including but not limited to negligence BUT does NOT include a claim against RunWest by any person entitled to make a claim under a relevant insurance policy.
Event means the event to be known as “RunWest” which – unless varied by RunWest – will be held on 29th March 2020 at and through a series of venues which may include, but is not limited to, West HQ, Sydney Motorsport Park, Sydney Zoo, Western Sydney Parklands and Blacktown International Sports Park.
RunWest means Runwest Festival Limited and includes its directors, volunteers, officers, servants or agents, and members.
I understand and accept that all entries are non-transferable and non-refundable for non-starters and non-finishers. I accept that entries cannot be deferred to subsequent years of the event.
I understand that there is a $5 administration fee for any event changes, and race fee differences.
Online race changes are permitted until 29th February 2020. After that, any remaining race changes must be done at the Race Packet Pick up (subject to availability).
Any participant who completes the event using the registration of another person is subject to disqualification.
(a) release and will release RunWest from all Claims that I may have or may have had but for this release arising from or in connection with my participation in the Event; and
(b) indemnify and will keep indemnified RunWest to the extent permitted by law in respect of any Claim by any person arising as a result of or in connection with my participation in the Event.
