RunWest will strictly follow government health orders and guidelines.

Please ensure you are washing hands regularly and keeping your distance from other runners.
Hand sanitiser will be available throughout the venues. Staff/Volunteers will wear gloves and frequently use hand sanitiser at the drink and medal stations. Due to the current conditions with COVID-19, this year there will be NO GEAR DROP available. We recommend only bringing essential items that can fit in pockets or a small backpack.
Super Early Bird registrations were open for 2 weeks from the 2021 event for RunWest 2022. Registrations are closed.
As well as entry to either the 12Km race or the 4Km Family Fun Run, your registration gets you access to all the on-course entertainment on offer during race day, you race bib and timing chip, and an awesome RunWest finisher medal.

Designed to be an all-inclusive event, RunWest is suitable for everyone from competitive runners to families with prams. Jog at your own pace, it’s not always about the time; it can be about how much fun you’re having. Whether it’s the 12Km or 4Km event, walkers are welcome too.
Yes, any number of registrations can be processed in one transaction.
If you create a team or family of five (5) or more entries in one transaction, a discount of $5 per person will be applied.
Registration is NOT available on event morning in order to limit contact. Please register online before event day. If you have any questions, please contact our customer service team at email@example.com.
Race Number Collection will be operated in a COVID Safe way and therefore we are anticipating longer delays at Race Number Collection than normal. We encourage all participants to choose the event postage option to reduce touch points at the event and avoiding the requirement to queue for your race pack. For any participants that need to attend Race Number Collection we advise you to allow for plenty of time to pick up and follow the instructions of volunteers upon arrival.
Race Number Collection will take place within West HQ on Saturday 27 March between 10:00am and 5:00pm.
If you have a team of 20 or more people, you can collect all race numbers at once. Please email NAB RunWest to organise race numbers in bulk before 23rd March, which will be ready for collection on 27th March between 10:00am and 5:00pm at West HQ.
We will advise collection points 30 days prior to the event in 2021.
To collect your race number, please bring a copy of your confirmation email received upon registration. If you have lost your confirmation email, please email NAB RunWest.
Each registration will be allocated an individual race number.
If you are unable to attend, you may have someone pick up your race number on your behalf. Please ensure the nominated person has your registration confirmation email with race number and a text/email/letter from you stating that they can pick it up on your behalf.
You are not required to print your confirmation email with race number but you would need to have a copy on your phone available.
Both the 12Km and 4Km Family Fun Run are open to all ages. However all entrants under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a registered parent or guardian for the entire duration of the event and the accompanying adult takes full responsibility for the safety of the entrant under 12.
We recommend entrants collect their own race number.
If you are unable to attend, you may have someone pick up your race pack for you. Please ensure the nominated person has a copy of your confirmation email.
Yes! Simply select and pay for postage during registration. We encourage you to select postage in order to reduce contact.
Postage cut-off:16th March for standard postage and 23rd March for express postage.
Any participant who has received a 2020 RunWest bib, will receive a new bib for the 2021 event.
It is the responsibility of the participant to ensure their address is entered correctly during the registration process. The NAB RunWest team will not be responsible for any missing race numbers and no refund will be provided.
Both the 12Km and 4Km Family Fun Run are wheelchair accessible. All participants in wheelchairs (except racing chairs) must be in the final start group.
Those in Racing Chairs will start from Group A.
You can update your registration details at any time by navigating to the entry page using the link in your confirmation email and logging in with your original login details. At this point, you can change your personal details.
Your registration confirmation email will be important when you collect your race number. If you have lost it or never received it, please email NAB RunWest and we will organise for another email to be sent.
Yes, entries can be transferred from one entrant to another. An admin fee of $5 will be applicable. Transfers are only valid for the same event in the same year.

Online transfers close on 28th February 2021. After this, transfers can only be done at Packet Pick up on Saturday 27th March at West HQ.
Yes, you can change your race. An administration and processing fee of $5 will be applicable. When downgrading your race distance, refunds will not be given. When upgrading your race distance, you will be required to pay the difference in entry fees. Please note that online transfers will close on 28 February 2021. After this time, transfers will only be accepted at Race Packet Pick up.

Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted on course. Assistance dogs only are permitted on the 4km course but NOT on the 12km course due to Sydney Zoo protocol.
If you are running to provide support to someone who needs assistance (such as a guide), please email RunWest who will provide entry instructions.
We strongly discourage the use of headphones on course. If you do choose to use headphones whilst running, please ensure that you are still able to hear what is happening around you.
Prams are permitted in both the 12km and 4km events and must start in the last wave. Children in prams must be registered in the event.
The use of any type of drone or unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is strictly prohibited at RunWest. Any person using a drone or UAV may be disqualified from the event.
No personal support riders or bike riders within the vicinity of runners are permitted on course. It is the responsibility of each athlete while running to ensure that no bikes are on the course near the runners. Any transgression will result in disqualification from the event.
RunWest’s Official Event Photographers, Marathon-Photos.com, will be on-course throughout event day to capture all the fun, excitement and smiling faces of RunWest. You’ll be able to purchase your official RunWest photos at www.marathon-photos.com.
Participants are encouraged to plan ahead and consider all the available travel options ahead of time as public transport continues to operate at CovidSafe capacities to maintain physical distancing across the network.
The best train station for connections to the start lines is Blacktown however please allow extra travel time as planned weekend trackwork is taking place during the event with buses replacing trains between St Marys, Richmond and Granville.
Rail replacement buses will run regularly to Blacktown Station where you can connect with dedicated event shuttle buses to the 12km and 4km event start lines. Visit transportnsw.info for more information on rail replacement buses and to plan your trip by train.

If you have to catch public transport, wear a mask, allow plenty of extra travel time, plan ahead and check real-time capacity indicators where available as you may need to wait for the next service with available capacity. You’ll need to use an Opal card or contactless payment method when travelling on transport to and from the event.

Groups and organisations are not allowed to create or form a dedicated space within the event village for their group to congregate unless approved by RunWest prior to the event. If a group is seen within the event site without an official event permit they will be asked by event organisers and security to leave the event site. If you would like to enquire about an allocated space within the event village for event day please email RunWest.
Under no circumstance can you distribute any samples, flyers, promotional material, or anything similar within the event village. If seen doing so you will be asked to leave the event site by event organisers and security.
Your time will be recorded by a timing transponder pre-attached to the rear of your race number. Please ensure you firmly attach your race number to your chest and wear it for the entirety of the event.
Once you receive your race number, please ensure you do not bend or expose it to excessive heat. If you think your transponder may be damaged, please present it at the Race Packet Pick up for exchange.
Your personal transponder will be activated once you cross the start line, and your finishing time will be recorded as you cross the finish line.
Results will be available via the NAB RunWest website on event day.
All finishers in the 12km Fun Run and the 4km Family Fun Run receive an awesome RunWest finishers medal at the West HQ Finish Line.
Participants are encouraged to arrange to be dropped off at the start lines and picked up from the finish line if possible – ask a family or friend! Alternatively you can drive and park at dedicated event parking sites where you can walk or connect with shuttle buses to the starting areas.
We encourage you to carpool and drive with your group to minimise congestion on the roads and car parks. Allow extra travel time as traffic may be heavier than usual and road closures will be in place before the events get underway. Remember to also allow additional time to park and walk to the start line. We advise you to arrive 45 minutes before the event start time.
• 12km fun run – use the public drop off area located off Peter Brock Drive or park at Sydney Motorsport Park Gate D, entry via Wallgrove Road, Chandos Road and Ferrers Road. From there it’s a short walk through the park to the starting area.
• 4km family run – drop off or park at The Rooty Hill (Morreau Reserve), entry via Church Street from Rooty Hill Road South. From there it’s a short 10 minute walk to the starting area at Blacktown International Sportspark.
Road closures will be in place for the safety of participants in Eastern Creek and Rooty Hill between 3am and 2pm and reopen progressively as participants travel along the courses.
Key road closures:
• Rooty Hill – From 3am to 2pm: sections of North Pde, Rooty Hill Rd Nth and Sherbrooke St
• Rooty Hill – From 6:45am to 11.30am: Eastern Rd between Knox Rd and Rooty Hill Rd South.
• Eastern Creek / Huntingwood – From 6am to 9am: Brabham Dr between Ferrers Rd and Great Western Hwy, Ferrers Rd between Chandos Rd and Brabham Dr as well as sections of Huntingwood Dr, Peter Brock Dr, Rudders St and William Dean St.
• Eastern Creek – From 6.30am to 8.30am: the Great Western Hwy will be closed between the M7 Mwy and Doonside Rd as well as the M7 off ramp to Great Western Hwy. Motorists should use the M4 instead during this time.

Sure! We have partnered with an expert research team called SPRINTER – which is a research partnership between The University of Sydney and NSW Government Office of Sport. SPRINTER is helping us investigate how participation in RunWest influences your physical activity participation and your health and wellbeing over time. This will build new understanding about mass participation events and how they may improve health in local Sydney communities. You will be asked if you are interested in participating in the research when you register in RunWest.

Where an applicant is under 18 years of age, the applicant’s parent or legal guardian that accepts this declaration in their personal capacity on behalf of the applicant and is expressly agreeing to be responsible for the applicant’s behaviour at the Event.
